About

Hello!

My name is Arielle Wilson, and I am the founder of Bainbridge Breeze Tutoring. I grew up in the small, close-knit community of Lopez Island, Washington. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Whitman College, where I met my husband through math tutoring. My own experience learning from patient, kind, and non-judgmental tutors inspired me to create that same supportive environment for others.

I later earned my Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Seattle University, graduating in the top of my class and receiving the Graduate Excellence in Computer Science Award. During my time there, I tutored students in Java programming, data structures, algorithms, and career development, helping them prepare for technical interviews and launch their careers.

My academic background includes extensive math coursework and research in autonomous systems. My master’s thesis, "Robotic Tomato Detection using YOLOv3 with Pre- and Post-Processing: Evaluation through Gazebo Simulation and Real-World Laboratory Testing," was published at the IEEE IRC 2023 conference on Robotic Computing.

I have worked as a software development engineer at Amazon and tech startups while continuing to tutor math and share my passion for the subject. Through Bainbridge Breeze Tutoring, I strive to create the same confidence-building environment that shaped my own learning. I emphasize understanding the reasoning behind mathematical concepts, paired with plenty of hands-on problem-solving practice.
